So what attracts us to the sport. For me it was the mechanical aspect of the helicopter. I was amazed at how it flew and it looked so cool being suspended in mid air all by itself. One thing led to another and before you knew it i was off to the store to buy my first helicopter - which i crashed of course. So for me its the mechanical aspect. What about you.

IMO even if you or anyone can "MASTER" this hobby there is still room for improvement.

How can you master these CRITTERS when they seem to have a mind of their own!! Not to mention " Crash the Party lurking in the background" I said not to mention CRASH!!!!!

Ohhh @Burgo did you mention my MASTER? I am Crash Minion, faithful companion of @Crash Heligod. Crash is not particular to what helicopters he crashes. And when you say they have a mind of their own - well most likely Crash is controlling it!

That's what's so addictive about it. There is no better feeling than learning and excecuting that new trick for the first time then perfecting it. I love it can't get enough.

The challenge for sure, I was solo when I started, so the social side didn't play in till I was already doing some aerobatics, and was pretty good on the basic controls.

Then I joined a club, and made some buds! adding another aspect to the addiction I already loved!

The build then the fly, tune, fly, tune routine. I quite enjoy the building, including stuff like charging cases.
The flying takes the cake though, especially after the pucker of a new move has settled down.

Totally agree with everything you are puttin down Squigs.
The butt puckering moments with a new Move sometimes its faster than a rabbits nostril. Lol

Very true @Radar, the people are pretty good. And William, you would have been involved with the Flybar units and tail gyros etc. Thats when i came into the sport, just at the change over about 3 years ago roughly.

Oh yes, my first few machines had GY401 gyros, I used mostly all Futaba tail equipment for the first 1.5 years, I later tried a G770, I then moved to the warrior's choice! SPARTAN 760, and they worked really well with the DS3500G and DS8900G tail servos, and it worked flawlessly with the BLS251. Just before VBar I tried GY520, and the Quark.

Building them, flying them and just looking at them. If only I could convince the wife to let me have some heli art on the walls... :)

For me, I just love flying high, playing with my joysticks and doing every position I can without damaging my mainshaft. The farting sounds from the bird from going hard is great too but trying to be careful I dont come down too hard as I cant wait to strip the canopy for another session

I have had one chick approach me when I was flying only a few weeks back but she was interested for her bf......oh well she had big tits anyway so that was cool
