My opinion on some of these questions is really not worth much! :)
my preference for the HV has always been no BEC, small 2s pack instead. But I will just use the BEC with the new Hobbywing 50a platnium V3 (Chase ESC) with the HV BEC setting!
No BEC has saved my heli a few times allowing me to auto after loosing a pack. But for simplicity id rather just crash the 360 IF that ever happened :)

Another video to bore you all with.
      This kid can fly!

A 2S lipo was what I used on my Goblin 700 with Torq HV servos...

I guess I can get a tiny 2S lipo for the Chase, but why-- if the Hobbywing 50A V3 comes with a built in HV BEC..!

Thats awesome. So i'm pretty much set with the kit other than lipos..

What FBL controller is this kid above flying? The EBar V2? :)

@Jeff B Do you have a link to your website? Looking for that KDS motor combo! Even if I have to pay a little extra for shipping...

I am returning the trex 550l and getting this instead...
I'll just save a couple of months for the Alees Rush 750 EVO to have as my large machine ;)

I already ordered 4- 6S Pulse 1350mah lipos, spartan vortex vx1... just need the blades :D

Could not resist. Cleanest, meanest looking little beast i've seen!

      Is it drool proof?? :p

Another question for @Glen ... Would Allen from KDS Models USA be able to help me out with ordering this kit in the states? They're based in Texas which is where im located... Im wondering if it would be less expensive to order from you guys in AU due to taxes... I always do whatever it takes to avoid paying taxes in this hobby! Trying to get some "Fully sick" blades to go with it and that would be heaps of help...

Sorry if this has been covered but I can't recall..

What's the largest pack size dimensions that will fit in the chase?

      Mine are almost 35 x 35 x 110 ? will they fit ?

Jeffs offer was a KDE (KDE 450XF-1750) motor not a KDS motor..

Yes Allen can sort you out. Should be available in USA soon also.

The frame is 40mm wide. and here are the other dimensions, remembering this has to take into account velcro or tape used to hold the lipo to the tray (gyro mount double sided tape and clear packing tape with 1 tray per lipo is my preference ) And CG adjustments.

      Great stuff -thanks Glen..

My packs should be ok then (did allow for velcro)...and also the pulse packs helladies mentioned earlier as they are the same dimensions as mine...

Have to share my packs with my 6S Tarot pro and the mini protos so i'll have to look at strapping my packs in..

No probs - very easy to get confused..

I beleive the KDS motor is now a powerhouse scorpion motor anyway so you should have no lack of power with the stock combo anyway.

ie: if a 800w 450 motor is not good enough for you then damn!!!

I have the good old trusty 2221-8 scorp motor in one of my 450's and it's like a bumble bee on crack as it is.. and it's just a 500W motor.. only gets 3min flight on 2200mah 3S 70C

Yes KDS decided to leave the motors to 3rd party in the end.

I agree jock strap, IF like me you done need all that power, longer flight times from the smaller motors make more sense!
the 2221 motors JUST fit, The shafts are on the short side, but the grub screw still find the shaft. The 3.5mm shaft kit for them might be longer?
A couple of things to keep in mind for the motor.
Hot pinions kill belts faster. The cooler your motor runs the better it is for belt drive helicopters in general.
Some manufacturers understand this and make sure their motors run cooler.
There are few new motors about to hit the shelves for 360 helicopters that might be worth looking into.
Feedback on the savox 3340 is cool, efficient and powerful, its is currently the only motor to have a flat ground to the end of the shaft suitable for the Chase 360. (will need to dremel the others yourself)
Keen to see what the Xnova is like too.

SOO Easily confusued with KDS and KDE... but I think i'm getting it now :p

Yea, from seeing the flight videos last night (I usually spend all my time on this forum while at work so I never get a chance to see the videos you all post--youtube is blocked:)) I would agree on the fact that I would be MORE than fine with the kit's specs!

These guys make my flying look like a laughing stock!! LOL

@Glen Will I have to mess with the dremel to mount the kits Scorpion motor to the Chase or were you just talking about the aftermarket ones?

@helladies I dont know. Id say they would all be the same as any off the shelf Scorpion motor. Unless they made shafts for the combo kits, doubt it.
Dam this Chase and its demanding requirements for the pinion! lol...

the Hobbywing 50A ESC has an internal BEC... whats the continuous amp rating?

5amps? Cant find any specs for this special one made for KDS anywhere online----either way, i'm sure they wouldnt couple an ESC in a kit if it wasnt meant to safely handle the servos it comes with... Just wanna know if I can run the servos at 7.4v :D

@Glen This kit shouldnt have any bugs, right? I mean you guys were testing the shiz out of it for 100+ flights if I recall correctly... that shouldve been enough time to iron out some kinks if any were imminent huh

I'm really excited.... I talked to Allen over the phone just before he left on vacation (got lucky!) and he took a pre-order for me (shhhhhhhhhhhh). I'll be picking it up from the warehouse sometime next week!

Thank again, @Glen and everybody who has helped me on this thread I cant thank you enough for all your help

The kit Scorpion motor has the flat ground onto the motor shaft.
